Confirmation

sacramentos1-4

Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.  (ccc1316)

Confirmation, like Baptism, imprints a spiritual mark or indelible character on the Christian’s soul; for this reason one can receive this sacrament only once in one’s life.  (ccc1317)

Our confirmation preparation process for high school students begins as early as their freshman year, and no later than their junior year.  This requirement of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City is a two year process,  Candidates for confirmation will learn about the Church and develop faith formation skills.   For more information contact Debra Niles at (405) 760-3754.

Baptized Catholics who have graduated from high school but have not received the sacrament of Confirmation needs to come through the RCIA program.  For more information contact Jeanne Bohan at (405) 623-3954.
