Christ is at work in each of the sacraments. He personally addresses every sinner: “My child, your sins are forgiven. (Mark 2:5)”
What is Confession?
It’s a Sacrament of Conversion, Penance, Confession, Forgiveness and Reconciliation.
Sacrament of Conversion: The call to conversion is the first step in returning to the Father, whom we have strayed from by sin.
Sacrament of Penance: To do penance in sorrow for our sins
Sacrament of Confession: We acknowledge and confess our sins and give praise to God and his mercy towards us in our sins.
Sacrament of Forgiveness: With the priest offering absolution God grants us pardon and peace.
Sacrament of Reconciliation: We are reconciled with God and with one another.
At St.Mary the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered every Saturday evening from 3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m. and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m.
By appointment you can call the parish office at 405-282-4239.
